Guitarist Spey Yang made his debut in Madrid at the age of 14 and first met Joaquin Rodrigo, composer of the immortal "Aranfez Concerto". On this CD, she plays Rodrigo's masterpiece and "Albeniz Concerto", a song specially commissioned by EMI for her. The concerto was inspired by the music of Isaac Albeniz (1860-1909), who wrote "Iberia," a panoramic suite of Spain and its rich musical heritage, composed by British composer and fellow guitarist Stephen Goth.
