Album Introduction

Miaskovsky was a composer that we haven't heard of for a while for political reasons. However, his music is retro rather than revolutionary, and is rooted in Russian tradition. His musical world evolved from complexity to simplicity, from highly chromatic to simple diatonic, and from polyphonic to monophonic music. It contains cello works that show the melody of this composer's natural talent and deep emotional expression. Russia's best cellist, who has won the Tchaikovsky Competition twice, Rudin and his close accompanist Ginsburg, and conductor Andrei Gorobin are all from Russia. It is a magnificent and intense performance with the outstanding Russian lyrical expression in Miaskovsky's work. Miaskovsky Cello Collection, Cello Sonata No. 1, No. 2, Cello Concerto in C minor
